Hornby have issued the 11th Edition of
their ' Track Plans '
Book, this now consists of some 16 Chapters (47 Pages) covering detailed Plans
for layouts, Power & Control (Including a separate Section on Digital),
Baseboards, Track Laying, Pointwork, Wiring, Landscaping, Buildings - Rivers
-Hills, Grass - Fields - Rocks, and Extra Details.
There are 3 suggested Layouts for TrackMat Extensions, 8 New Fixed
Layouts, varying in size from 3'6" x 3'6" (1067 x 1067mm) to 14'6" x 6'6"
(4267 x 1981), and for the first time suggestions for 8 Modular Layouts for
those who may have space restrictions or wish to operate on an End to End basis
as happens in practice. The Modular Layout segments vary from an ' L'
Shape 5'6" x 5'6", (1676 x 1676mm) to 12' x 3'6" (3048 x 1319mm), &
4 layouts that are only 2'6" (763mm) wide.
They are so designed that segments may be linked to-gether to fit the area you have available.
A Parts list for
both Trackwork & Buildings is provided for each layout - be it Modular or Fixed.
This Plan Book is, in our opinion, long overdue, the best that Hornby have ever
produced and covers all Modellers - those who have no space restriction
problems, those that have, and in addition have met the needs of those who wish
to run terminal to terminal, terminal to yard, end to end, etc, etc. and at the
Price of £5.00 + Postage provides an enormous amount of data in 'plain'
understandable Text & Diagrams.
